The Champagne Lodge & Luxury Suites ranks among the best hotels we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. If your budget allows, you could opt for a suite with a private pool. However, we chose the hot tub suite, which is featured in our first photo.
The room boasts a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress. We found it incredibly comfortable, though it might take some getting used to if you’re new to memory foam. There’s also a walk-in shower, large enough for two people, which isn’t shown in the photos. And of course, there’s a Jacuzzi situated right next to the bed.
As for dining, we enjoyed Mexican food and cocktails at La Cabañita, which is just a 5-minute drive away. Alternatively, the area also offers the Chiba Japanese Restaurant with its impressive sushi and reasonable prices.

Located in Oak Brook with easy car access, we find the hotel that offers the best value for money for its suite rooms with a Jacuzzi.
Pay close attention when booking, as there are several rooms with bathtubs, but only one has a big tub for two as shown in the photo (the room with the spa bath).
What most customers appreciate is the excellent housekeeping service, ensuring that both the hot tub and the room itself are spotless – an important factor when booking this type of hotel. As for the bed, it’s not the most comfortable out there. I would give an average rating to both the mattress and the pillows.
To top it off, the booking comes with breakfast included. While there could be a bit more fruit variety, overall, it’s good enough to replenish your spent energy.
Another affordable yet good option in Chicago for booking a room with a hot tub is the Baymont by Wyndham Joliet Motel. If this location works better for you, it’s a good idea to check out the Deluxe King Studio Suite, which comes with a hot tub and mirrors for a more daring night.
The pros: breakfast is included, the room is quite clean, and that’s a significant plus. Also, it must be said: the bed is of very high quality and it shows.
The cons: the breakfast doesn’t offer much variety beyond waffles and cereal. But, given that it’s included in the room price, we really can’t complain.
However, if you want to kick off your day on an even better note and don’t mind spending a few more dollars, head over to Louie’s Waffle House for breakfast. They serve not only sweets, but also omelets, toast, and bacon. Plus, it’s literally just 20 meters away from the hotel.

The hotel is located in Westmont, with ample and easy parking and an indoor-pool. The staff is quite friendly, which we believe is a plus when visiting this kind of hotel for a couple’s getaway.
The suite’s bed has a medium-soft mattress (we personally prefer firmer or memory foam mattresses) and the pillows are neither the best nor the worst. It’s something I’ll never understand – why don’t hotels invest in the best pillows on the market?
Lastly, and most importantly, there’s a large Jacuzzi next to the bed, equipped with adjustable LED lights. You can change the colors to add a more romantic touch.
